The City

Something I really had to adjust to when I first got here was the vast amount of churches that pop up randomly throughout the city. You're in the middle of a shopping district and then all of the sudden there's a church next to a supermarket. Or amidst the skyscrapers there is a small gate that will lead you into a pocket of sanctuary. I chose for my photo essay of the City, to portray that peculiar aspect of London's financial district. One that I quickly grew to love despite my first shock.
